Vaginal candidiasis (VC) is the most common fungal infection to affect humankind, and by their mid-twenties a majority of women will have had at least one attack.1 At one extreme, it may cause only minor symptoms that resolve spontaneously and at the other, severe and chronic vulval itching, soreness and dyspareunia.
